"Main Street Books has been a family-owned indie bookstore in Historic St. Charles, MO for nearly 30 years. We are located in a 200 year old building and stock a wide variety of genres, including general and historical fiction, mystery, romance, fantasy, and history. About half of our stock is children's books, middle grade, and young adult. In addition to books, we carry fun sidelines and gift items that appeal to readers and non readers alike. We are proud to serve our community by promoting literacy for all ages."

"EyeSeeMe African American Children's Bookstore was created in order to help bridge the cultural divide, so that African American children can benefit from exposure to literature that respectfully mirrors themselves, their culture and their families. We are the only children’s bookstore devoted exclusively to promoting positive African American Images and African American History while advocating for Academic Excellence. We believe that competent, caring, and properly supported teachers and parents are essential to student learning."

The Webster Groves Bookshop
"A good bookstore is an integral part of any strong community, and after the outpouring of support received upon our closing in 2016, we decided to continue the legacy of The Webster Groves Bookshop in Old Webster and re-open just down the road. Every effort has been made to restore its original charm, and it should feel familiar to its customers." |
"Betty’s Books, founded in 2021, is a locally-owned, independent graphic book store in Webster Groves, Missouri, specializing in trade comics, graphic novels, manga, and children’s literature. Our belief is that graphic books are for everyone, and we are committed to spreading the word to help those in our community find their next great reading adventure."
|
"The Book House is an independent neighborhood bookstore since 1986. We have a large and eclectic collection of new, old, classic, unusual, and rare books in all categories. We have two floors patrolled by our bookstore cats Gatsby and Zelda; a true browser's paradise."
